Your new workbook for kids is a good idea, but there already exists similar workbooks that are free. Just a few of the ones I know are from BKFK (By Kids For Kids), US Patent Office, Lemelson Smithsonian foundation. Based on what I have seen on this website, I don’t see your workbook as distinct or better than these other free resources. Also, the whole premise of young inventors seeking patents needs revisiting. The value of a patent must be weighted with the significant time and cost it takes to obtain, maintain, and protect the patent. Many patented products are simply stolen by firms with deep pockets who realize individuals cannot afford to prosecute alleged violations of patents. I wish you all well as I am a father of two young inventors and looked into this issue at length. One has an invention patent pending but was able to receive all legal services free because he won a significant invention contest. Otherwise, we would not have pursued the patent.

    Best regards,

    Bruce

Thank you Bruce for your feedback. I am happy to hear that your son or daughter was able to receive funding for an invention. As I appreciate your feedback, I do have to note my intention with this project was to educate children with the concept of patent and mostly to motive them to imagine and create.
The Dreamalings characters are very inspirational and yes I am aware of the free items available per above, however that did not stop me from completing my project, ultimately my intent with this idea.
Unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world and at times “firms with deep pockets” do get the most of the patent world. I am a law student so I am well aware of the rule of law. However, my take on it is don’t give up, there is always a solution…even for us- the little people! Smile

Please forward me your mailing address: alina@inventivemindsjournal.com

I would like to send you complimentary copies of the journals. I wish you and your kids all the best in the Patent/Invention World.
